From Dolce and Gabbana to Dungeons and Dragons, we're still looking for a Coach Bag of Holding...
Welcome to Heather & Lace.
This blog features a lot of what I like to have in my life.
Fashion. Love. Beauty.
However, here's a bit of information about myself:
I'm 22 years old.
I'm married to my middle school sweetheart.
We have a Malti-chi puppy, named Watson.
I own a personal stylist business.
My bedroom is my sanctuary.
I'm a nerd, ie. roleplay, gamer, anime, Star Trek... and I take it a bit seriously.
I have an unhealthy obsession with bows.
I actually adore my mother and mother-in-law.
My mantra for 2012 is 'Live life like Blair Waldorf', and I do believe it.
I believe women should be elegant, and treat everythng in their life wth that respect.
My second and third home are Bath & Body Works, and H&M.
Please visit often for updates and news, and thank you for visiting.
can we all take a minute to mourn that the end of an era is occuring tonight.
I weep… sincerely

Day 6: Baby’s first picture. A picture of your first ultrasound.
Our little bit. The very first time we heard our little ones heartbeat and actually saw it moving around in my body, it was truly an unbelievable experience. The baby was so very active, kicking and punching… we know its going to be a little fighter. And at the time, the lady that was doing the ultrasound could have normally been able to tell the sex at this stage, but unfortunately couldn’t due to the modesty of our little one. Regardless, my husband and I were so elated by seeing this.
Day 5: What trimester are you in, and how do you feel?
I am currently in my 2nd trimester and in my 18th week (well, maximum 18th week). Honestly, I’ve only had minor discomforts such as nausea and light morning sickness. I’ll also get sharp abdominal pains, and with my job… unfortunately I have to be on my feet for hours on end, so its one of those things that you just have to suck up and make it through. Back pain is usually a given with me, but its gotten a little more prominent. But past the little irritable moments (and emotional ones too, thank god my husband is so understanding about it all… I wouldn’t even be able to put up with me), I’m doing everything I possibly can to enjoy my pregnancy. Although with the weeks I’ve been having as of late, I know my blood pressure has to be elevated… I’ve been under extreme stress in my daily life. But, I look to the idea that I love our baby and no matter what… I’m going to stay healthy and enjoy life.
Day 4: How did you find out you were expecting?
Well it took my husband and I quite a while to figure that one out. My periods are usually quite irregular so that didn’t tip us off, and since I was still taking birth control in between (I was switching pill brands, so for a week, I let the old pill run out of my system before starting on the new brand). So we weren’t really tipped off to the idea, but I did notice my extra need for food. And I did have exceptionally light spotting, nothing that would really make you think that you were. But, my husband wanted to calm my nerves since my biggest paranoia that I’ve had since we began dating was the possibility of pregnancy, and well… four at-home tests and a blood test later… we definitely knew we had a little one on the way.
Day 3: Do you know the day you conceived?
Unfortunately, we do not. However, we do know the time frame in which it was… which was very early December. December was one of our most excellent months since it contained both our wedding anniversary and official anniversary as well as obviously Christmas and New Year’s. So regardless, that month meant quite a bit to us… it wasn’t much of a surprise that we celebrated the way we did.
